On 14-May-2025, the animal owner contacted Elanco and incidentally reported an adverse reaction with Seresto Large Dog (2.03g+4.5g) (flumethrin, imidacloprid). The following was reported: On an unknown date in Mar2022, a canine had 1 Seresto Large Dog collar (2.03g+4.5g) (flumethrin, imidacloprid) placed around the neck via the topical route, by the owner for flea control. The animal owner felt there was something wrong with this product or suspect counterfeit due to the collar missing the calendar stickers and reflectors. No concomitant products were administered.

On an unknown date, the 12 year(s) old, 36.287 kilograms, neutered male, Shepherd - unspecified, canine, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, went to the veterinarian for a routine dental cleaning and had pre-anesthetic bloodwork performed. The bloodwork showed elevated liver enzymes and the dental cleaning was cancelled. The animal owner removed the collar from the dog. On an unknown date, the veterinarian rechecked bloodwork and the elevated liver enzymes had resolved. On an unknown date in fall of 2023, the dog incidentally passed away.
