This product contains a pyrethroid that can cause a parenthesis reaction. It is not harmful but is an odd skin sensation often described as a tingling, numbness, apins and needlesa sensation (similar to when a foot or arm falls asleep.) It typically does not produce redness of the skin unless you itch or rub at the skin. Warm water, heat and sweat can intensify the sensations. Recommend washing with copious amounts of cool running water for 15-20 min. The reaction will resolve on its own without treatment within 24 hours but if the sensation is bothersome and the skin is intact it may be treated with cool compresses and topical vitamin E oil to help ease irritation. The easiest method of applying Vitamin E is to cut open a Vitamin E capsule using scissors and massage the oil on to the affected area. This needs to be done several times a day as a single application is often ineffective, based off the described exposure we would not expect to see severe vomiting. Due to this and out of an abundance of caution we would recommend that you be seen at your local ER. Bring product information with you and have your doctor contact us using your case reference number if more information or consultation is needed. May we have your consent to use your contact information for follow-up to be completed with you in the future should any additional questions arise?
