Product was applied by a pest control company on February 20, 2025. The caller left the apartment and returned to the apartment an hour and a half later. The following morning, on February 21, 2025, the caller woke up with symptoms including numbness in her lower lip, pain in the left artery of her neck, headache, nausea, frequent urination, anxiety, lung pain, and dizziness. Suspecting a reaction to the pesticide, she went to the ER, bringing a pamphlet of the product used. The doctor informed her that they could not test for the product and conducted various tests, ruling out arterial inflammation and stroke. The client left the ER after six hours without a diagnosis. The next day, February 22nd 2025, the client experienced severe nausea, worsening dizziness, and chest pain and contacted the Poison Control. Poison control informed her that the chemical was an aerosol and no blood tests were available for the active ingredient. On February 23rd 2025 she reported to still be experiencing severe nausea. On February 24th 2025, she reported difficult breathing, lung pain on both sides, and swelling on the outsides of her neck. The caller reported that was she was staying outside of the apartment since February 21st 2025, and noted that the symptoms worsened when she re-entered the apartment. On February 25, 2025, she returned to the ER, where X-rays ruled out a collapsed lung, pneumonia, flu, and COVID. Five different blood tests were conducted, all of which came back normal. The doctor did not administer any treatments or recommendations, and suggested it is likely a reaction to the product. At the time she was still experiencing the same symptoms and those come and go. No further referrals were given at the ER. On March 10th 2025, she reported to be living elsewhere for two weeks, and that the apartment has been cleaned 3 times. At that time, March 10th 2025, the symptoms were still ongoing and worsen when re-entering the apartment, but she says that the neck swelling and pain had resolved after 4 days. Additionally, on March 11th 2025 she noted that her symptoms worsened and she recalled that a white powder was applied behind her stove and toilet at a previous application. On March 17th 2025 the caller reported finding another chemical under the fridge and additional product was also found behind the toilet, the product was reported to be Borax. After the area was cleaned she reported to feel about 80 percent better. She was seen by a clinic doctor who ordered a blood test to test for mold.
