11/1/2024 All of the following information was spontaneously reported by the caller. Caller is reporting developing Parkinson's after using Roundup for approximately 20 years. Caller advised that she first used Roundup in 1996. She used the product 1-2 times a month, sometimes more often than that. Caller states she now has Parkinson's and thinks it is caused by the Roundup. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's around 2020. She would use the spray in ready to use form. She wore shorts and sprayed it in her yard 2-3 times a month for 20 years. She had not noticed symptoms while using the product. No other labs, tests, or treatments in relation to the diagnosis. Her doctor mentioned that Parkinson's may be from her use of Roundup and suggested she call for more information. She no longer has any of the containers and did not have any identifying information on the type of Roundup used. She was only able to advise that it did not need to be diluted and she used the bottles with green and red labels.

While a temporal relationship exists between the use of the product over the twenty years and diagnosis of Parkinsonas Disease an exposure to the product is not known and it is unclear if and how she was being exposed to the product. There is overwhelming consensus among the leading health authorities around the world that glyphosate can be used safely, and no regulatory authority has found that glyphosate is neurotoxic.
