4/25/2024 All of the following was spontaneously reported by the caller. The caller reported being exposed to the ROUNDUP ADVANCED READY-TO-USE by inhalation and is seeking recommendations on how to clean up the product after a spill in her car. The caller stated that about 4 hours prior to the call, her grandson needed to use her car in the morning. As he started to unload the trunk, he spilled a ROUNDUP ADVANCED READY-TO-USE. The caller is not aware of how the product was able to spill. She is only aware that her grandson tried cleaning the product up with an old towel. He did not complain of any symptoms, but the caller stated that she is now starting to feel dizzy and shaky since she has been able to smell the product coming in from the garage as she has been in the garage for a short time. She advised that she is diabetic and has not eaten and thinks the dizziness may be associated with that, but she is not sure. She stated that before the call, she was able to eat something. She stated that when the spill occurred, the car was outside of the house. They have not put the vehicle back in the garage because of the odor of the product. Since the spill, the car doors have been opened and the windows have been opened to ventilate the area. Her garage door is also open, and the car is in front of the garage but not inside of the garage. She had not realized that her grandson never discarded the towel and the product. He left it inside the open vehicle. The caller believes that this is most likely why she was able to smell the odor from the garage since the product and towel have been sitting in the car. She has not shut the garage door; it is still open, and she will continue ventilating the garage and car but would like to know now how to properly clean the car before going back in. She stated that she will be using a N95 face mask if she must use the car today. While on the call, she discarded the product in a large black trash bag and will dispose of the product and towel outdoors. She asked is she should use bleach to neutralize the odor.
