(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On 16-Sep-2023, a 0.2 year old, approximately 3.6 kilograms, intact, female, Pit Bull crossbred dog, in unknown condition, with unknown concomitant medical conditions, was administered an unknown amount of Hartz UltraGuard Pro Dog Shampoo 18 oz Can (Methoprene / Phenothrin (Sumithrin) / Pyriproxifen (Nylar)) via the topical route by the animal owner. This was extra label use, treatment program not respected (age of the dog). Immediately upon product application, the dog's fur started smoking, similar to that of a chemical reaction, and she developed open, bleeding wounds (ulceration) at the application site. The product was immediately removed by bathing the dog with liquid dish soap. At the time of the call, the animal owner was preparing to bring the dog in for veterinary evaluation. No further information was received in this case so it is unknown if the dog was evaluated by a veterinarian and if treatments were performed.
