On 01-Aug-2019, a 4 year old, 12.2 pound, neutered, female, Domestic Longhair cat, in unknown condition, with concomitant medical condition of fleas, was administered 1 collar of UltraGuard Plus Reflective Flea and Tick Collar for Cats and Kittens (Tetrachlorvinphos / S Methoprene) via the topical route by the animal owner. Upon product application, the cat exhibited skittish behavior for a duration of approximately 30 seconds. On 02-Aug-2019, the cat developed lethargy, anorexia and adipsia. On 03-Aug-2019, the animal owner consulted with an unspecified poison control company and the product was removed per their recommendations. At an unspecified time post product removal, the clinical sign of anorexia, resolved. The cat had not been evaluated by a veterinarian, no treatment had been performed and the clinical signs continued at the time of the call. Veterinary evaluation was recommended if the clinical signs persisted or worsened. No further information was received in this case.
