Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial phone call was to discuss the use of the product and not to report the death of the patient.
No further information is expected. This case is closed

Classification selon la gravité (s'il y a plus d'une catégorie possible, veuillez choisir la plus grave)
Mort
19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici
N - Unlikely
Death is not expected following appropriate topical product application as inconsistent with products pharmacological profile. Oral exposure to the collar is not expected to cause serious signs either. Product has wide margin of safety. Outcome was likely consequence of underlying cardiac disorder in this geriatric animal. Moreover, the reason for the initial phone call was to discuss the use of the product and not to report the death of the patient. Therefore, although some information (e.g. time to onset and necropsy details) are missing, considering known safety profile of product, product connection is ruled out.
