On an unknown date post collar placement in 2016, the dog had unspecified medical issues and the canine died. The dog was not evaluated by a veterinarian and no necropsy was performed. Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial call to Bayer Animal Health was to discuss product use on another pet and not to report the death in this event. No further information expected. Case closed.

Classification selon la gravité (s'il y a plus d'une catégorie possible, veuillez choisir la plus grave)

Mort

19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici

Death is not expected following appropriate topical product application as inconsistent with products pharmacological profile. Oral exposure to the collar is not expected to cause serious signs either. No signs of anaphylaxis reported which would have occurred in close proximity to the collar application. Animal was reported to have some unspecified medical issues which may be the likely cause for the death of an animal. Further the owner did not believe in product involvement either as the reason for initial call was to discuss product use on another pet and not to report the death in this event. Considering these aspects, in spite of the limited information (animal details, time to onset, absence of necropsy results and medical history of the dog), considering known safety profile of the product, product relation is unlikely.
