On approximately 28Jun2016, the dog exhibited weight loss. The dog was examined by a veterinarian and was diagnosed with renal failure. It is unknown if any, medical tests or treatments were performed. On 04Jul2016, the dog died of unknown cause. No necropsy was performed. Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial phone call was to discuss the use of the product and not to report the death of the patient. No more information is expected; this case is closed.

19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici
Diagnosed renal failure is not expected after product application as sign is not in line with pharmacotoxicological product profile. Reported weight loss likely
associated with diagnosed renal failure. Death is also not expected after product application as not in line with pharmaco toxicological product profile. An overdose of 5 collars around the neck was investigated in adult cats and dogs for an 8 months period and in 10 week old kittens and 7 week old puppies for a 6 months period without causing serious signs. Dog involved in this case was geriatric and may have died due to renal failure. Moreover, the reason for the initial phone call was to discuss the use of the product and not to report the death of the patient. Time to onset is not suggestive of product relation either. Even though no necropsy was performed, sufficient information exists to ruled out product relation completely. Finally, a product relation is considered as unlikely.
