7/20/2016 Caller is concerned that their dog may have ingested product potentially on or around 7/16/2016. No direct exposure to the product was witnessed, and caller is attempted to rule out product exposure. The dog has been vomiting persistently since 7/16/2016, and has also developed black, tarry stool. The dog was also given a fresh marrow bone on 7/16/2016. 7/22/2016 Call back to the original caller for follow up information. the dog was brought to the clinic on 7/20/2016 for radiograph and blood work. Everything was within normal limits. The veterinarian believed the dog may have contracted salmonella from the bone. The dog was prescribed an antibiotic and an antacid, and sent home. The dog stopped vomiting and started eating as of today.
