1-45684505 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her cat was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredient (S)-methoprene. Five days before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter applied a dose of the product to her 9-year-old, 12-pound, female, domestic shorthair cat. Soon afterwards, the reporter noticed the cat vomited after seeing her lick the application area. Four days before initial contact, the reporter noticed there was irritation, hair loss, and a rash at the application site which also seemed to be itchy. The reporter was advised that the product has little toxicity to mammals, and reactions are not expected. The reporter was advised to bathe the cat and get veterinary attention should the symptoms persist. No follow-up was attempted. No additional information is available.
