1-45671533 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated her cat was exposed to an insecticidal spot-on product containing the active ingredient (S)-methoprene. Approximately two weeks before initial contact with the registrant, the reporter applied the product to her 1-year-old, female, domestic shorthair cat of unknown weight. Soon afterwards, the cat started drooling, falling down, and walking into walls. The reporter indicated that the cat had been bathed in a non-company insecticidal shampoo around the same time as the application. The symptoms lasted 30-60 minutes. The reporter was advised that this is not an expected reaction to the product and to bathe the cat immediately should this happen again. The reporter was also advised that interactions between multiple insecticidal products can occur. No follow up was done. No additional information is available.
