(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
5/20/2016 2:44:38 PM A veterinarian called with questions about his own dog. His 2 year old dog is nursing 8, 11 day old puppies, 3 of which recently developed twitching and one additional puppy which died. He thinks the nursing dog may have ingested one block of unknown size. He did not have the package with him but stated the product came in a pail and recalled the blocks to be approximately appeared to be 1x1x1.5 inches. He placed one block under a shop table in his shed and now can't find it. He saw his nursing dog trying to dig under the table this morning and stopped her. Therefore, he thinks she was going back to that spot because she previously found the block there. To be cautious, he induced vomiting this morning in case she had ingested the block but the vomitus was clear (no evidence of rodenticide). No indicator dye has been noticed in the feces over the past few days. The nursing mother is asymptomatic. One puppy died this morning, approximately 6 hours after it developed tremoring and foaming at the mouth last night. He worries that the other puppies are twitching more than normal for their age (some twitching is normal at this age). He plans to pull the pups off now and will bottle feed or put on a different nursing dog.
