19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici
Blood in stool is not expected with topical product administration as sign is not in line with pharmaco toxicological product profile. Lethargy is unspecific and may have numerous other causes. No oral exposure to product reported. Nevertheless death is inconsistent with pharmaco-toxicological product profile and experience. Product has wide margin of safety. Oral LD50 in rat 642 mg/kg BW. 24-fold overdosage tolerated by cats without showing any side effect. In case of suspected product involvement, adverse event would have been reported in close proximity and not long time after (15 years). The cat involved in this case was geriatric, which may have further contributed to death of the animal. Time to onset is also not suggestive of product relation either. Even though it is unknown whether necropsy was performed, sufficient information exists to ruled out product relation completely. Finally, a product relation is considered as unlikely.
