On an unspecified date post application, in 2013, the feline was diagnosed with renal failure and died. It was unknown if a necropsy examination was performed.
Due to the sensitive nature of the communication, specific relevant event details were not obtained, nor will such be sought. The reason for the initial call was to discuss the use of another Bayer product on another pet and not to report the death of this feline. No further information is expected. This case is closed.

Classification selon la gravité (s'il y a plus d'une catégorie possible, veuillez choisir la plus grave)
Mort
19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici
Reported sign renal failure is not expected after appropriate product application as not in line with pharmaco toxicological product profile. Death is not expected following appropriate topical product application as inconsistent with products pharmacological profile. Oral exposure to the collar is not expected to cause death either. Animal involved in this case was geriatric, which may have contributed to serious signs. Animal may have died due to renal failure. However, in case of suspected product involvement, adverse event would have been reported in close proximity and not long time after (2 years). Furthermore, the reason for the initial call was to discuss the use of another Bayer product on another pet and not to report the death of this feline. Thus, even though some information is missing ( exact time to onset, necropsy report, health status and medical history), sufficient information exists to ruled out product relation completely. Finally, a product relation is considered as unlikely.
