(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité

On September 5, 2015 the cat was symptomatic. Later that evening, the owner took the cat to the veterinary clinic, where a bath and fluid therapy was given (before she was discharged from the clinic as no one would be there after hours). On September 8, 2015 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) as the cat had not shown any change in condition. The APSS veterinarian stated products labeled for cats have low concentrations of pyrethroids, generally. The APSS veterinarian also stated if the product is groomed, can see taste reaction (hypersalivation, nausea), give a taste treat such as 1-2 tablespoons (tbsp) milk or tuna juice. The APSS veterinarian further stated especially with pyrethroid sprays, can see paw shaking and ear flicking; if this occurs, bathe with liquid dish washing solution (LDWS). The APSS veterinarian additionally stated many sprays contain significant quantities of isopropyl alcohol. The APSS veterinarian finally stated if saturated, can become drunk/ataxia, lethargy/depression; if this occurs, bathe with LDWS and take to DVM. The APSS assistant recommended taking the cat to the veterinarian, having the veterinarian call for information, and referred to the manufacturer (to discuss medical cost compensation with the company).
