(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On August 10, 2015 the kitten started vomiting. On August 13, 2015 the owner found the kitten dead. A few hours later, the owner called the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS). The APSS veterinarian stated product has a wide margin of safety, no signs expected. The APSS veterinarian recommended taking the kitten's body to the veterinarian and having the veterinarian call for information regarding a necropsy (see if necropsy is possible). On August 13, 2015 an APSS technician called the owner to discuss necropsy. The owner is going to store the kitten's body in the fridge overnight and will take him to the veterinary clinic tomorrow and have them call the APSS.
Mort
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was not considered to be related to causing the clinical situation. On August 14, 2015 the attending veterinary staff member called the APSS to obtain necropsy instructions. The owner then called the APSS to talk to the company about reimbursements, the APSS technician transferred the owner to company. On August 27, 2015 the APSS received the final report including the addendum. An immunostain for parvovirus was performed. There is a nonspecific background staining, but cytoplasm and nuclei of crypt cells are strongly positive. Therefore, this is a case of feline parvovius infection syndrome. The cause of death is parvovirus infection. The APSS veterinarian stated that parvovirus was considered to have a high likelihood of causing the clinical situation.
