(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
1-41483962 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her two cats were exposed to a spot-on insecticide containing the active ingredient methoprene. The pet owner applied the product to her 14-week-old, 3 pound, female cat (Subform III #1) and to her 11-month-old, 7 pound male cat (Subform III #2) five minutes prior to initial contact with the registrant. She also had just dewormed both cats with a non-registrant product called Sergeants Vetscription Worm Away. The 14-week old female had vomited one time since the products had been used and the reporters 11-month-old, male cat was salivating excessively. The reporter was advised that the active ingredients in the product have little to no toxicity in mammals but with ingestion drooling can occur because of the unpleasant taste. If enough is ingested it is possible to see transient gastro-intestinal upset but there are numerous possible causes for vomiting including use of a deworming agent. No further information is available.
