Owner states that sometime between the 21st and the 23rd of oct the dog got into this bag of poison and consumed a WCS of 20g from the bag. I believe this is a repeated exposure because on saturday the dog vomited and there was evidence of the poison and also today the dog has had a bowel movement and the feces contained specks of the bait. Also the feces look darker than normal. The timeline goes as such. Thurs they discover the bag after noticing restlessness, difficulty breathing and anorexia. These signs continued until Saturday when they stopped. On saturday the dog was only lethargic. Today the dog is acting perfectly fine but had darker stools with more bait in it. Unsure what bait the animal was exposed to. The caller was advised that you may see GI upset and possibly FB with exposure to the corn cellulose active. Toxicity is not expected, however risk is for coagulopathy with the other bait. Take to DVM and have the dvm call.
