On July 24, 2013 the owner noticed that the cat was symptomatic; she immediately took the cat to the veterinarian, where unspecified symptomatic care was given. A short time later that morning the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the cat's signs were consistent with an exposure to permethrin. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner have her regular veterinarian call for information and have permethrin hair testing done.

On July 24, 2013 the owner noticed that the cat symptomatic. The owner immediately bathed the cat with a Mane 'n Tail shampoo product. Later that morning the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the cat's signs were consistent with an exposure to permethrin. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner bathe the cat with a liquid dish washing detergent (LDWD), monitor the cat at home for central nervous system (CNS) signs, and take the cat to the veterinarian.
