1-34949241 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her cats were exposed to an insecticidal sprya containing the active ingredients tetrachlorvinphos and methoprene. The reporter applied the product to her 17-year-old, 6 pound female cat (Subform III #1) and to her 10-year-old female domestic short haired cat (Subform III #2) 25 days prior to initial contact with the registrant. One week after the product was applied callers 17 year old cat passed away. Just prior to its death this cat was seen head-pressing. Two weeks after the product had been applied the reporters 10 year old cat died. Just prior to its death this cat was breathing heavy. The reporter was advised that the described symptoms and the onset of symptoms are inconsistent with toxicity to this product. A necropsy was recommended to determine a cause for the death of the cats but was declined as the cats had already been buried. No further information is available.
