(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
1-34103805 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicated that her two dogs were exposed to an insecticidal spray containing the active ingredients tetrachlorvinphos and methoprene. The reporter indicated that she applied the spray to her ~4.5 month-old, 5 pound, male Chihuahua and to her ~4.5 month-old, 5 pound female Chihuahua four days prior to initial contact with the registrant. The reporter indicated that her male Chihuahua vomited and was not eating after product application and then died later that same day. At the time of initial contact, the reporters female Chihuahua was suffering from vomiting, bloody diarrhea and anorexia. The female dog had been bathed with a hand dishwashing soap two days prior to initial contact. The reporter was advised that there are numerous possible causes for the described symptoms. A necropsy was recommended to determine an underlying cause for the male dogs death and immediate veterinary evaluation was recommended for the female dog. On follow-up call, one day later, the reporter indicated that the female dog died yesterday just as they were getting ready to take it to the veterinarian. The reporter declined a necropsy on both of her dogs. No further information is available.
