(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On September 17, 2012 the owner noticed that the dog was symptomatic. Later that evening, the owner bathed the dog twice. A short time later, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner bathe the dog with liquid dish washing detergent (LDWD), monitor the dog at home for central nervous system (CNS) signs. Apply vitamin E to the application site, and call back with questions.

On September 18, 2012 the owner called the APSS to update the case. The owner stated that on an unknown date she bathed the dog with LDWD, monitored the dog at home for CNS signs, and applied vitamin E to the application site. The owner stated that the dog was still symptomatic; earlier on the morning of September 18, 2012 she noticed that the dog was no longer ataxic but was now hesitant to move. The APSS technician recommended that the owner apply a cold compress 5 to 7 minutes at a time. On September 27, 2012 an APSS assistant called the owner to update the case. The owner stated that she did not apply cold compresses to the dog and that the dog had fully recovered later in the day on September 18, 2012. As a precaution, the owner took the dog to the veterinarian later that afternoon, where a physical examination was done and the dog appeared to be back to normal.
