(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On September 18, 2012 the owner noticed that the cat was experiencing symptoms. On September 25, 2012 the owner took the cat to the veterinarian, where the cat's hair was clipped, a diagnostic evaluation was done, 0.42 milliliters (mL) of Covenia were given, and the cat was given antibiotics, which the owner was to administer for 2 weeks. As the cat was examined at the veterinary clinic, it was discovered that she was hyperthermic with a low grade fever and had dermal lesions. On September 28, 2012 the cat no longer had a personality change and was no longer lethargic, or inappetent; the other symptoms remained, however. On October 2, 2012 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the product has a wide margin of safety, although some cats may develop dermal irritation following product application. The APSS assistant recommended that the owner monitor the cat at home, have the veterinarian call for information, and call back with questions.
Modérée
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a medium likelihood of causing the clinical situation. On October 6, 2012 an APSS assistant called the owner to update the case. The owner stated that she had been monitoring the cat at home and was continuing to give the cat an antibiotic treatment. The APSS assistant recommended that the owner have her regular veterinarian call for information.
