(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
1-30940249- The reporter indicated several animals may have been exposed to a fungicide containing the active ingredients propiconazole and chlorothalonil. The reporter indicated he was calling regarding a group of horses owned by a friend. He indicated his friend was having reproductive difficulties with his horses the past year. He stated his friend had recently lost a sixty day old foal (Subform III, #1) and was able to successfully breed two out of twelve brood mares (Subform III, #2) this season. He further added one of the studs at the facility has such a bad infection he may have to geld the animal (Subform III, #3). The caller was unable to provide further detail regarding the condition of each of the animals mentioned as he was providing a second hand account. He did not provide detail about signalment, onset, diagnostics done or treatment attempted. He did not describe a discreet exposure incident. The reporter indicated the owner of these animals grows his own hay and that some of the hay used as feed for the animals may have been treated with the product. He did not describe application or when the application had taken place. The caller asked if the product may be related to the reproductive issues described. The caller was advised the described events were inconsistent with the expectations of the active ingredients or finished product. He was advised to have his friend work with a veterinarian in efforts to discover the source of the reproductive difficulties in the herd. No further information is available.
