(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On April 21, 2012 the owner noticed that the cat began having a seizure and then died suddenly a few minutes later. A short time later, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the risk was for mild dermal sensitivity and noted that the owner was unsure if she'd used the product on the cat previously. The APSS veterinarian recommended that the owner have a necropsy performed on the cat, have a veterinarian call to discuss a necropsy, and call back with questions.
Mort
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was not considered to be related to causing the clinical situation. Later on April 21, 2012 the owner called back to provide information about the emergency clinic where she took the cat's body for necropsy. On April 23, 2012 an APSS veterinarian contacted the emergency clinic to discuss the necropsy. On April 24, 2012 an APSS technician contacted the emergency clinic to let them know that a pick-up for the cat's body had been scheduled for that day. On April 30, 2012 interim necropsy results were received. The results gave a morphologic diagnosis of pneumonopathy. However, the cause of the cat's death cannot be concluded and the clinical significance of the findings must be clarified by a histopathology examination, which is currently in progress. Histopathology and final necropsy results are pending.
