(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On September 23, 2011 the owner noticed the dog was symptomatic. The vomiting ended on September 26, 2011. Shortly after applying the next monthly application of the product on October 2, 2011 the owner observed that the dog became symptomatic again. On an unknown date at an unknown time, the owner gave the dog a nonspecific homeopathic gut support medication. The owner bathed the dog with a dog shampoo on October 3, 2011, and later that day the dog's GI ended. The dog was no longer pruritic on October 4, 2011. On October 6, 2011 the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that the topical use of synthetic pyrethroid flea preparations as per label directions is not expected to cause significant clinical signs and that some animals are more sensitive to these products and may develop dermal hypersensitivity reactions. The APSS veterinarian also stated that bathing the product off with a liquid dish washing detergent (LDWD) and applying vitamin E to the application site typically resolves the dermal signs. The APSS veterinarian said that if the product is ingested via grooming, a taste reaction characterized by hypersalivation could occur and typically resolves with the feeding of a taste treat to replace the bad taste. The APSS assistant did not provide treatment recommendations because the call was disconnected.
