7/30/2011 Caller reported that her dog ingested 2-6 ounces of the product about 12 hours ago. She awoke to find the dog incoherent with glassy eyes and ataxic?. The dog was taken to a veterinarian where it died that same day. The dog presented with severe anemia (hematocrit of 23% which dropped to 20% within a period of a few hours), difficulty breathing and defecated a large amount of what was assumed to be rodenticide. The veterinarian suspects the dog died of respiratory distress and bleeding into the lungs although thoracic radiographs and coagulation tests were not performed. The dog was treated with an injection of Vitamin K1.
