(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
On July 24, 2011 the owner noticed the dog was lethargic, hyperthermic, vomiting, and trembling before and after vomiting. Shortly after the dog became symptomatic, the owner applied vitamin E to the dog and then bathed the dog with liquid dish washing detergent (LDWD) three times. Later that evening, the owner contacted the Animal Product Safety Service (APSS) to obtain help. The APSS veterinarian stated that no significant signs were expected unless the dog ingested some of the shampoo, and then vomiting and diarrhea could occur. The APSS assistant recommended that the owner take the dog to the veterinarian and call back with questions.

19. Donner des renseignements additionnels ici
The APSS veterinarian stated that the substance was considered to have a medium likelihood of causing the clinical situation. On July 27, 2011 an APSS veterinarian contacted the owner to update the case. The owner stated that she took the dog to the veterinarian on the evening of July 24, 2011. The dog's lethargy, vomiting, and trembling had ended by that time, but the dog remained hyperthermic and developed bloody diarrhea that evening. The owner stated that later on the evening of July 24, 2011 the dog died. The APSS veterinarian recommended having the veterinarian call for information and having the owner contact the manufacturer to discuss concerns about product labeling. A necropsy was not available because the dog had already been buried.
