(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
The owner's husband put the ant bait out on Wednesday, 05/11/11. The owner noticed the cat's paws were sticky and the cat was trying to lick them on Wednesday,05/11/11. The owner also states that later that evening, the cat had diarrhea. The owner states that the anus is swollen and it smells very bad. When the owner squeezes the area, bad smelling liquid comes out. The owner was advised borax has a wide margin of safety. Oral LD50, chronic, in dogs is 1780 mg/kg. GI signs are seen at low doses (v/d, drooling, depression). Can see liver/kidney, ataxia, seizures at high doses: 2-3 g/kg. Anal sacculitis is unlikely related to product exposure. Owner was recommended to take the cat to the DVM. We would not expect significant problems from this exposure.
