(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
1-26317992-The caller, a pet owner, indicated his animal had been exposed to an herbicide containing the active ingredients 2,4-D (dimethylamine salt), Mecoprop-P (propionic acid), and dicamba (dimethylamine salt). The reporter indicates he had applied the product to his residential lawn sixteen days prior to his initial contact with the registrant. He indicated his ten year old sixty pound female golden retriever dog (Subform III, #1)had developed vomiting and diarrhea within four days of application. He did not describe a discreet exposure incident. He then reported his female sixty pound Labrador retriever dog (Subform III, #2) had also developed vomiting and diarrhea fifteen days following application. He, similarly, did not describe a discreet exposure incident. He reports the Golden retriever dog had been to the veterinarian due to the persistent signs and they have not been able to determine the nature of the illness. The pet owner was advised of the potential gastrointestinal irritant effect of the product when directly ingested by animals, but that the time line and severity/persistence of the signs described were inconsistent with the toxicity profile of the active ingredients. On follow up the pet owner indicated the golden retriever dog had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and euthanized. The Labrador had spontaneously resolved. He provided no time line associated with these events. No further information is available.
