(p.ex. description des symptômes tels que la fréquence et la gravité
1-21567138: A reporter (cat owner) called on 02/03/2010 to report the exposure of his 2 cats to a flea egg and larvae product containing the active ingredient Methoprene. According to the reporter, the product was applied to both cats on 02/03/2010. Cat #1 (1st Subform III) started scratching, vocalizing, and vomiting within 2 hours of product application. Cat #1 also became agitated. The reporter bathed Cat #1 with water twice. Cat #2 (2nd Subform III) also became agitated. Both cats were eating well at the time of the report. The reporter was advised that the product has a wide margin of safety when used according to label directions, and adverse effects are not expected. A recommendation was made to bathe both cats in non-insecticidal shampoo and apply vitamin E oil to the affected areas. The reporter was also advised to have the cats evaluated by a veterinarian if the signs persisted or worsened. The company's reimbursement policy was discussed. On follow up, the reporter stated that he used vitamin E oil on the affected areas and both cats were fine at the time of follow up. No further information was obtained.
