The information contained in this report is based on self-reported statements provided to the registrant during telephone Interview(s). These self-reported descriptions of an incident have not been independently verified to be factually correct or complete descriptions of the incident. For that reason, information contained in this report does not and can not form the basis for a determination of whether the reported clinical effects are causally related to exposure to the product identified in the telephone interviews. There does not appear to be definitive confirmation that a bait station had indeed been consumed by the dog. Secondly, the potential dose of abamectin this dog could have received from a single ant bait station is well below any dose of this compound that could potentially lead to illness in a dog this size and is unlikely to have been the cause of this dog's seizure. The dose of abamectin used within the ant bait station is significant smaller than the dose of ivermectin, a similar compound to abamectin, used therapeutically by veterinarians to treat heartworm in dogs.
