10/21/2008 8:36:17 PM The caller¿¿¿s dog stopped barking and became lethargic on 10/20/08. On 10/21/08 the dog developed difficulty breathing, was unable to walk, not eating, has white mucus membranes, and seemed to be loosing weight. The caller has been self-treating the dog by giving Pepto Bismol and ¿¿¿pet milk¿¿? with baking soda. The caller ¿¿¿recently¿¿? placed this bait around her home and did see green dye in her dog¿¿¿s stool a few days ago. The caller then brought her dog to the DVM. On the way to the DVM he started defecating blood. The dog went to respiratory arrest at the clinic. The dog was intubated and blood work was performed and the PCV was 12%. The dog died within 40 minutes of being at the clinic. No necropsy was performed.
