History: Caller states she sprayed her 2 male 18 week old cats with product for dogs on Friday night, 9/7. Yesterday, 9/8, the cats were lethargic and weak. They wouldn't eat or drink. Caller fed them milk and water with a dropper. She shaved them and bathed them. Male #1, died during the night. Today Male #2, is eating and drinking and using the litter box, although caller is carrying him to the box to use it. She is still feeding him by hand. Wants to know what else she can do. Can't afford an emergency vet. Assessment: Recommend consulting a vet concerning remaining kitten, Continue to provide fluid and nourishment. Keep kitten warm. 09/11/2007 Follow-up Male #2 died on 9/9 late PM. She did not take it him to the veterinarian. Response: Given my sympathies on the death of the cats. Male Owner calling back Clarified with caller that the dog product was put on the cats. He states there is a picture of a dog and a cat on the label so (name) thought it would be OK to use it on the cats.
