The reporter described a packaging failure involving a pesticide containing bicyclopyrone and bromoxynil. The reporter described leaking of product from one tote with failure reported to have occurred at the point of valve assembly and/or coupler and lost approximately half of the tote (approximately 162L). No exposure or environmental injury was reported.

Annual cleaning and inspections of the totes (valves, seals, o-rings) and regular scheduled replacements (o-rings) for these returnable totes is conducted as preventative maintenance to ensure quality standards achieved.
