The reporter described a packaging failure involving a pesticide containing the active ingredients sedaxane, fludioxonil, and metalaxyl-M and S-isomer. The reporter described a leaking tote and approximated 40-50% of the tote (~22 - 28L) was lost while contained in indoor storage. The reporter did not pinpoint a visible point of exit but placed the tote on side which prevented additional leakage. The registrant was contacted for clean-up information and it was identified via a subsequent investigation of the returned tote that the leak had occurred under the tote chime. No exposure or environmental injury was reported.

Annual cleaning and inspections of the totes (valves, seals, o-rings) and regular scheduled replacements (o-rings) for these returnable totes is conducted as preventative maintenance to ensure quality standards achieved.
