On 22 Apr 2024, Elanco was contacted by an animal owner regarding an adverse event when using a Seresto Large Dog collar. On approximately 19-Apr-2024, 1 collar of Seresto Large Dog (Flumethrin-Imidacloprid) was placed around the neck of a dog by the animal owner for flea control. The product was applied correctly, no known concomitants were administered.

On 21-Apr-2024, the 8 year old, approximately 22.7 Kg, intact, male, Cattle Dog - Australian (Blue/Red Heeler, Queensland), in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, developed labored breathing, unable to walk (difficulty walking), decreased appetite (loss of appetite), and death. No treatments were performed and no veterinary evaluation was performed.
