On 18Apr2024, a clinic staff member contacted Elanco to report an adverse reaction with K9 advantix II Small Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen). On 16Apr2024, the pet owner applied 1 tube of K9 advantix II Small Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) to the dog. No concomitant products were administered.

On 16Apr2024, immediately post application, the 0.8 year old, 2.09kg, neutered male, Yorkshire Terrier/Maltese crossbred dog, developed pruritus. It is unknown if the pruritus was generalized or at the application site. The dog was not examined by a veterinarian, but it was recommended, by the clinic, that the pet owner apply Vitamin E to the application site. The outcome of this case is unknown.
