On 18Apr2024, a clinic staff member contacted Elanco to report an adverse reaction with K9 advantix II Medium Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) in dog. In 2023 the dog was prescribed, and continues to take, oclacitinib maleate and canine interleukin-31 monoclonal antibody. On 07Apr2024, 1 tube of K9 advantix II Medium Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) was applied to the dog.

On 07Apr2024, 2 hours post application, the 2 year old, 9.6kg, neutered female, Pug canine, with a history of allergies, became unsettled. On 09Apr2024 the sign continued and the pet owner gave the dog Cetirizine Hydrochloride and a bath with an unspecified shampoo. On 15Apr2024 the pet owner bathed the dog with dish soap. On 16Apr2024 the dog recovered. The dog was not examined by a veterinarian.
