On 19Mar2024, a clinic staff member contacted Elanco via email to report an adverse reaction with K9 advantix II Large Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen). The following was reported: On 15Feb2024 and 15Mar2024, the pet owner applied 1 tube of K9 advantix II Large Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) (misuse underdose) to a dog.

On 17Mar2024, the 0.75 year old, 32.9 kilogram, intact male, Australian Shepherd dog, was lethargic, trembling, ataxic, and had a decreased appetite. On 18Mar2024 the dog was seen by the veterinarian. No treatments were prescribed. The outcome of the patient is unknown.
