On 03-Mar-2024, a pet owner contacted Elanco regarding accidental oral administration and subsequent adverse reaction involving Advantage II Small Dog (Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) and a dog. On 3 Mar 2024, the animal owners accidentally administered a dose of Advantage II Small Dog (Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) orally to the dog (misuse: route).

Approximately twenty minutes after administration, the 3 year old, 4.1 kg, neutered female, crossbred King Charles Cavalier Spaniel/ Toy Poodle crossbred dog, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was eating grass (pica). On 03 Mar 2024 the dog recovered without treatment.
