On 09-Nov-2023, a pet owner contacted Elanco to report a possible adverse event regarding K9 advantix II Large Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) concerning a dog. On 22-Aug-2023, a dog was administered 1 tube of K9 advantix II Large Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) topically by the owner.

On 23-Aug-2023, the 1 year old, 14 kg, neutered, female, crossbred Australian Labrador Retriever/ Standard Poodle dog, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, began staggering and developed tremors. On 25 Aug 2023, the dog was bathed with dish soap and later the same day bathed with a dog shampoo. The pet owner had a phone consultation with their veterinarian. On 28 Aug 2023 the dog was prescribed a medication from the veterinarian, believed to be prednisone. The patient's condition then slowly improved over time and had fully recovered as of 31 Aug 2023.
