On 15-Aug-2023, a pet owner contacted Elanco to report a possible adverse event regarding K9 advantix II Small Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) concerning a dog. On 03-Jul-2023, a dog was administered 1 tube of K9 advantix II Small Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) topically by the owner along the dorsal midline.

On 03-Jul-2023, one hour following application of K9 Advantix II, the 3 year old, 3.6 kg, neutered, male, Chihuahua canine/dog, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, became itchy and irritated at the application site. The animal owner applied vitamin E to the irritated area, bathed with an anti-itch oatmeal medicated shampoo, and then applied aloe vera. The pet owner put a t-shirt on the dog to prevent the dog from self trauma from scratching. On 10-Jul-2023 the dog recovered. No further information is expected.
