On 30-Aug-2023, an RVT contacted Elanco to report a possible adverse event and product complaint regarding K9 advantix II Large Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) concerning a cat. On 28-Aug-2023, a cat was administered 1 tube of K9 advantix II Large Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen) topically by the owner.

On 30-Aug-2023, the 8 year old, 3.9 kg, neutered, female, Domestic Shorthair cat, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, was not eating and began to have tremors. The cat was bathed twice with dish soap within 15 minutes of application. The cat was admitted to another veterinary hospital and was administered fluids and hospitalized overnight. On 31-Aug-2023 in the evening the cat had recovered and was released from hospital.
