On 26 Jun 2023 the clinic's staff contacted Elanco regarding a possible adverse reaction to Advantage Multi 100 (Imidacloprid, Moxidectin) and K9 Advantix II Extra Large Dog (Permethrin, Imidacloprid, Pyriproxyfen). On 1 Jun 2023 the owner applied the dog's first dose of Advantage Multi 100. On 15 Jun 2023 the owner applied the dog's first dose of K9 Advantix ll Extra Large Dog.

On 17 Jun 2023 the 5 year old, 34.9 kg, intact, female, American Bulldog canine, with pre-existing allergies and who was treated with oclactinib in Feb 2023 for 14 days, vomited, was lethargic, and hiding. An unknown time after onset, the vomiting and hiding resolved, but lethargy is ongoing at the time of the report. No treatment was administered.
