6/14/23 Consumer emailed to say he may have inadvertently poisoned his dog. After discussion with the consumer it was revealed that he waited until the lawn was dry to let the dog out on the lawn, but dog started feeling bad, "poop little runny etc". Advised of the poison control number and he declined stating he would have to pay 85 American dollars to talk with them also advised that if the lawn was dry the product should not have affected the dog. 6/27/23 The consumer's email was forwarded to the medical line and a response sent to him requesting follow-up. 6/28/23 Call back from consumer. Caller reports that on June 14th, 2023, his dog might have been exposed to treated area before the completion of the 3-hour waiting period after application, and might have ingested some treated grass. The dog developed malaise while outside by that evening and vomited when came inside for supper. He has since developed increased water consumption since the one vomiting episode (5-6 cups daily), but is urinating appropriately considering increased consumption of water. Increased water consumption and urine output continues. The vomiting resolved after the first episode, and caller denies diarrhea ever occurring. The dog has received outpatient lab tests and all results were within normal limits except for a low lymphocyte percentage and a high thyroid value. Radiographs were recommended by the veterinarian. The dog's appetite is currently normal, and her body temperature has been normal or slightly higher than normal. It is unknown when tests and evaluation were completed in relation to the dog's potential ingestion of the treated grass. The dog has further veterinary evaluation scheduled for July 18th, 2023.
