On 18 Jan 2022 an Elanco Company Employee reported an adverse reaction and lack of efficacy to Clean-Up II Pour-On Insecticide with IGR (US-labeled) (Permethrin, Diflubenzuron) after speaking with a veterinarian. Between November and December 2021, a herd of approximately 300 calves were administered an unknown dose of Clean-Up II Pour-On Insecticide with IGR (US-labeled) (Permethrin, Diflubenzuron) topically by the owner. The cattle were treated in groups upon arrival and not all the animals were treated at the same time.

On an unknown date in January 2022, the 300 unknown age, approximately 272.7 kilogram, unknown breed bovine/cattle, in unknown condition, with no known concomitant medical conditions, became itchy. The concern was raised that the cattle may have lice. A fecal sample revealed the presence of mites. The outcome is unknown.
Update 31 Jan 2021: the veterinarian visited the farm. No lice were seen.
