(eg. description of the frequency and severity of the symptoms
2021SCPC00006473 - The reporter, a pet owner, indicates an exposure to a pesticide containing the active ingredient brodifacoum. An unknown number of days before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the reporter stated his 1-year-old, male cat of unknown weight and breed might have ingested some of the pesticide as the cat was in the area where the pesticide was placed. Five days before the day of initial contact with the registrant, the cat stopped eating. On the day of initial contact with the registrant, the cat had lost weight and currently weighed 2 pounds, had trouble urinating, and had blood in his urine. The reporter stated he had contacted his veterinarian, but financial concerns prevented treatment. The reporter was advised to seek immediate veterinary evaluation of the cat as while some of the symptoms might be attributable to a toxicity to the pesticide, other symptoms might indicate other health concerns. On follow-up call five days later, the reporter indicated he had still not sought veterinary care for the cat which was now lethargic. The reporter was again advised to seek immediate veterinary evaluation of the cat. No additional information is available.
